According to Imran Khan, the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) in India has developed an “arrogant” attitude due to its significant revenue-generating capacity.

Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan and captain of the World Cup-winning team have advised Pakistani players not to be concerned about being unable to participate in the Indian Premier League due to India’s ban.

It is noteworthy that Pakistani players were part of the first edition of the IPL in 2008. Still, due to the political tensions between the two countries caused by the Mumbai terror attacks, India later prohibited the participation of Pakistani players in the lucrative T20 tournament.

Imran Khan expressed his surprise in an interview with Times Radio, stating, “I find it strange that the Indian cricket board would penalize Pakistani cricket players (by excluding them from the IPL), and it just reeks of arrogance.”

He also stated that Pakistan should not be concerned if India does not allow Pakistani players to participate in the IPL. Imran also pointed out that India’s Board of Control for Cricket has become “arrogant” due to its significant revenue generation capability.

Imran Khan expressed his regret about the strained relationship between Pakistan and India and criticized India’s behavior as a cricket superpower in an interview. He stated, “It is unfortunate how Pakistan and India’s relationship has turned out. There is a lot of arrogance in the way India behaves now in the cricket world as a superpower.

Due to their significant revenue generation capacity, more than any other country, they now dictate as a superpower, deciding who they should play and who they should not.”

Meanwhile, the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League started on Friday with a match between Gujarat Titans, the defending champions, and Chennai Super Kings, the four-time winners, at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
