Michael Jackson’s biopic film ‘The Michael’ will be made

The movie ‘The Michael’ is going to be made on the life of famous singer Michael Jackson. According to the Hollywood Reporter magazine, Hollywood studio Lionsgate and director Antoine Fuqua are going to make a film on him.

Oscar-winning “Bohemian Rhapsody” producer Graham King is producing the biopic along with John Branca and John McClane, who also owns Michael Jackson’s estate. John Logan, the writer of hit films like ‘Gladiator’ and ‘The Aviator’, will write the script.

The first films of my career were music videos. “I still feel that the combination of film and music is a deep part of me,” said the statement released by director Fuka, “For me, there is no other artist who has the power, charisma and musical talent of Michael Jackson.” The first black artist on MTV whose work I learned to make music videos from. His music and those pictures are part of my worldview. It was important to tell his story on screen along with music.

He became a huge pop star who won 15 Grammy Awards and achieved stardom from childhood. Michael died at the age of 50. According to Lionsgate, the film will depict all aspects of Jackson’s life. However, it is not certain how the film will address some of the musical controversies associated with him.

As long as he lived, singer Jackson was accused of child abuse. Lionsgate will distribute ‘The Michael’ in North America and will also seek international partners. Music biopics have proved attractive in recent years. Before the Corona epidemic, the film ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ earned 910 million dollars worldwide. Jab Lerman’s ‘Elvis’ played a role in bringing old audiences back to the theatre. Fuqua last directed Will Smith’s ‘Emancipation’ and is currently filming ‘The Equalizer 3’ with Denzel Washington.
