IPL 2022 Saw Startup Boom in Sponsorships, but IPL 2023 is Different

IPL 2022 saw a thriving startup boom despite the Covid-19 pandemic, with Disney-Star securing 14 sponsors and 8 out of 14 being startups. Furthermore, 12 out of 18 advertisers for ad spots were also startups, including Dream11, Cred, and Tata Neu. Even IPL franchises benefited, with 40 startups sponsoring multiple teams. However, IPL 2023 will be different with the absence of cryptocurrency exchanges such as CoinDCX, CoinSwitch, and WazirX, as the BCCI has banned all related advertisers and sponsors.
