The pace of James Cameron’s Hollywood film ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ is not going to stop anytime soon. Interestingly, even in the seventh weekend of its release, this film is at the top of the box office. To date, the film has grossed $620 million in North America and $2.117 billion worldwide.

Only last Friday, ‘Avatar 2’ has become the fourth highest grossing film so far. This film has become the fourth highest grossing film, surpassing ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ (2.071 billion). The film now trails only Avatar ($2.92 billion), Avengers: Endgame ($2.7 billion) and Titanic ($2.19 billion) in terms of worldwide ticket sales.

Avatar and Titanic are both films directed by Cameron. Now Avatar 2 looks set to surpass Titanic. If it earns only eight million more, it will surpass the earnings of Titanic. Speaking to the international media, director Cameron said that when his films are in the race to break records, naturally there will be pressure on the producers.

I think there will be pressure on many manufacturers. “Most importantly, people rarely talk about how filmmakers can be objective in their films,” Cameron said.
